Student Perspective Heritage Language Program Global Competence Certificate
February 8, 2022 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm
Join us for updates about a unique collaborative program, now in its second year, aiming to support access to heritage language education in our communities.
The Global Competence Certificate is integrated in the Heritage Language Program organized by OSPI in partnership with the EHC and other local organizations. Our partners, the World Affairs Council, created this certificate to track students’ development of competencies that are critical to their success as globally-engaged citizens.
On February 8th at 6:30pm PST, the World Affairs Council invites educators, students, and interested community members to hear directly from students who have earned the Global Competence Certificate as they share highlights from their GCC portfolio websites. They will also explore the Sustainable Development Goals as a rich resource for researching important global issues.
Washington State educators can earn up to 3 clock hours by attending the workshop and completing the discussion forum questions in Canvas.
